OUR STORY

About us Background Layout.png

“Our focus is our people, our customers, and providing fresh, affordable, quality quick eats, customized just for you. Our only limit is your imagination.”

VISION

It all started when I realized we had an opportunity to be apart of redesigning the interior spaces, and change the food and beverage options inside the State Capitol to reflect what the region has to offer as California’s agriculture industry is a major player in the state’s economy. We will promote working with local businesses and sourcing the best products and ingredients to provide an amazing experience for all. We make all of our soups, sandwiches, salads, entrees and pastries in house every morning led by an exceptional culinary team. Having our businesses at the State Capitol is not only an opportunity, it’s also a privilege.

MISSION

We pride ourselves in committing our time to our customers, employees and our planet. When using our catering service or stepping foot into one of our establishments, our staff will ensure you’re feeling comfortable from start to finish.

We all come from different walks of life but strive for making genuine connections. Our passion and respect shows in our products and services, ultimately fulfilling our ultimate goal…customer satisfaction. ~Jenn Crabbé

The organizations include St. Johns Program For Real Change, Developmental Disabilities Service Organization (DDSO), International Rescue Committee (IRC) and most recently Habitat for Humanity

Jimmy Crabbé

Owner & Manager

Jimmy Crabbé, a former 20 year senior executive with UPS, has applied best business practices to the multiple business he has consulted for or has invested in. Today, he spends a good amount of time managing all back-office functions at Statehouse including financial controls, Human Resources, IT and Administrative functions. According to Jimmy, the restaurant business is very tough and is a highly volatile business with rapidly increasing or changing costs, having the necessary data to closely monitor and manage all cost elements are crucial to running a sustainable profitable business. Having the right processes, supported by good technology, great people and the right performance metrics is the mantra Jimmy manages all of his business by, including Statehouse.

We are pleased to have a top-notch culinary team in place, led by Executive Chef Dan Watterson. Dan has over 15 years of culinary experience. Two years ago he and his wife relocated from Washington D.C., where he was Chef de Cuisine for Stephen Starr’s FAMED French bistro Le Diplomate. Prior to joining Le Diplomate, Dan was an Executive Chef for Matchbox Food Group. Dan has had an extensive career in fine dining and one of his fondest memories was working at the two-Michelin Starred, Inn at Little Washington led by Patrick O’Connell. There not only did he learn technical skills but valuable life skills of learning what it takes to build a team and working with people from all walks of life, who may not have technical skills but who have drive and passion and are willing to listen, learn and work hard.
